About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Specialist to join our team at Food and Wine. As a key member of our Communications, Media and Engagement branch, you will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of strategic communications and engagement activities for various priority programs and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver communication and engagement strategies to support sensitive and complex water infrastructure projects, programs, and policies.
  • Identify emerging stakeholder matters and quickly synthesize information across multiple competing projects.
  • Assist in the implementation and delivery of stakeholder and community engagement activities, including stakeholder identification and mapping, event coordination, and online engagement.
  • Develop communication materials to execute over a range of channels.
  • Provide communications project support to the communications team when required.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, engagement, or a related discipline, and/or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel to regional and metro areas.
