We are seeking a highly skilled Demand Planning Specialist to join our team at MECCA Brands. As a key member of our Supply Chain function, you will play a critical role in driving a world-class demand function that connects our brands to their sales targets, and our customers to their products of choice.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Own the Demand Planning Process: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts, ensuring data accuracy and integrity throughout the process.
  2. Drive Forecast Accuracy: Continuously improve forecast accuracy through process enhancements and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  3. Review and Analyze Demand: Regularly review forecast consumption to identify and address abnormal or trending demand, ensuring alignment with business initiatives.
  4. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with store operations, merchandise, digital, marketing, and supply chain functions to generate a consensus forecast and drive business outcomes.
  5. Develop and Maintain Forecasting Models: Partner with internal brand teams to create forecasts for new items and ranges, including cannibalization strategies and ranging levels.
  6. Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with supply planner and freight coordinator to develop robust supply plans, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts.
Requirements
  1. Extensive Demand Planning Experience: Proven track record in demand planning, preferably within the retail or FMCG industry.
  2. Commercial Mindset: Strong understanding of commercial principles and their application in demand planning.
  3. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Highly analytical with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Education and Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain or a related discipline are desirable.
