Design Manager

We are seeking a skilled Design Manager to oversee the delivery of design projects and lead a team of designers. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, leadership, and conflict resolution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing design teams and collaborating with contractors
  • Overseeing design projects to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results
  • Preparing design fee estimates and steering engineering governance
  • Ensuring projects meet legal, quality, and client standards

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results

  • Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with design projects
Requirements
  • Recognised degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience in the Water (preferred), Industrial, or Mining sector
  • Demonstrated leadership in design delivery and conflict resolution within partnerships or Joint Venture settings
  • Advanced technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to manage complex systems
