Medical Receptionist Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and friendly medical receptionist to join our dynamic team at Kelso Medical Centre.

As a medical receptionist, you will provide exceptional customer service to patients and support the successful running of the centre. Your duties will include greeting patients, answering telephone calls, patient triage and booking patient appointments, document scanning and email management, and patient billing and payment collection.

We are looking for someone who is highly organized, has strong communication skills, and can develop quality working relationships with colleagues and patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting patients and answering telephone calls in a friendly and professional manner
  • Providing efficient and effective administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Managing patient information and maintaining accurate records
  • Working collaboratively with the Practice Manager to achieve centre goals

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a medical reception role (highly regarded but not essential)
  • Strong proficiency in document scanning processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy team environment
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Proven multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using Best Practice or other practice management software (highly desirable but not essential)
