Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team on a 6-month contract with the potential for extension. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and analyses to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, prepare and assist with the budget process, ensuring accurate and timely financial planning.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making, driving business growth and improvement.
  • Perform monthly General Ledger Reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Undertake financial modelling, analyzing complex financial data to inform business decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management and stakeholders, providing clear and concise financial insights.
  • Coordinate, prepare and manage taxation obligations, reporting and compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations, ensuring seamless audit processes.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy, driving business excellence.
Requirements
  • Membership of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants or Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia or an equivalent.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, taxation and relevant legislation, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Tech One Finance system, with experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Knowledge of financial modelling, with ability to analyze complex financial data.
  • Knowledge of contemporary management accounting practices, with ability to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Accounting experience in preparation of budgets and reports reconciliation within a complex commercial environment.
  • High work ethic, commitment to professional presentation, flexibility in the workplace and ethical practice.
