About the RoleThe Financial Planning and Analysis Superintendent is a key member of our Corporate Office team, responsible for delivering high-quality financial and commercial support to our consolidated business.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver consolidated monthly and quarterly reporting against budget, including monthly consolidated management financial statements and business-specific KPIs and performance metrics.
- Provide management accounting and analytical support, including financial modeling, variance analysis, performance reporting, and NPV analysis.
- Support the annual group consolidated budget process for all business units, including consolidation and presentation for Board of Directors approval.
- Provide financial, commercial, and governance support to the Projects and Corporate functions.
- Support the Group Financial Controller with copper and gold hedging documentation and analysis, including transactions, settlements, recording, and reporting to our Hedging advisor.
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis and presentations for the Executive Committee (EXCO) and Board.
- Maximize the use of business tools and enhance management reporting for the group SAP application for Financial and Controlling (FICO).
- Focus on improving business performance and maximizing profitability through delivery of strong business intelligence.
- Assist in managing the group corporate governance environment with respect to financial controls.
- Assist in managing the internal control environment.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance or a related field.
- At least 5 years' experience in a Senior Financial Planning and Analysis role.
- Advanced experience in ERP's specifically SAP FICO and financial analysis/financial modeling tools (Integrated Planning, Power BI, etc).
- Relevant experience in the resources industry and ability to interpret mining physicals and metrics is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and report writing skills and ability to manage priorities.
- Strong budgeting and Purchase to Pay (P2P) process experience is highly desirable.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to manipulate data and numbers required for analytical reporting.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
