Manufacturing Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in a contract manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong command of both CNC programming and quality management.

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for owning the AS9100/ISO:9001 Quality Management System, ensuring its effective implementation across the organization, and maintaining, monitoring, and reporting on quality, schedule, and cost performance to all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop efficient programs for mill and lathe applications using extensive CNC programming background
  • Utilize Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T) interpretation skills
  • Create/modify detailed work instructions and other shop floor documentation to support production needs
  • Develop comprehensive processing and quality assurance plans for product lines
  • Investigate and perform Root Cause analysis of component non-conformances and ensure implementation of effective Corrective Action
  • Support continuous improvement through creation of work instructions, optimizing CAM programs, and developing new work holding/tooling methods
  • Troubleshoot production issues throughout the process, and interface with the team to optimize manufacturability
  • Participate in advanced quality planning and new job quoting efforts
  • Gain experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Fagor controls

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Mastercam programming / manufacturing engineering and quality assurance experience in an AS9100 or similar accredited environment
  • BS or AS degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a related field, or a minimum of 10 years' experience in similar technical role with no degree
  • An established background in Mastercam programming
  • Openness to learning and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work product
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to problem-solving
