Primary Care Physician Opportunity

A General Practitioner is a medical professional who provides primary care to patients. This role involves diagnosing and treating illnesses, performing routine check-ups, and providing health advice to individuals and communities.
As a General Practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals. You will also be involved in education, research, and community service activities.
- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including children, adults, and older adults.
- Conduct physical examinations, take medical histories, and order laboratory tests as necessary.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, including infections, injuries, and mental health conditions.
- Prescribe medications and treatments, and refer patients to specialists when necessary.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and best practices through continuing education and professional development.
To be eligible for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Be a vocationally registered General Practitioner (GP) or a Non-VR GP currently enrolled or eligible for a pathway program.
- Hold a medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Have completed a residency program in general practice or a related field.
- Hold current registration with the relevant medical board or council.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
