Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Health Services Team at Junee Correctional Centre. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to our inmate population.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates, including emergency care, health promotion activities, and coordination of care.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of healthcare services.
- Conduct health care assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Dispense prescription and non-prescription medications, as required.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of healthcare services.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum one year of professional postgraduate experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Competence in the performance of medical emergencies, physical assessment, crisis intervention, medical and psychiatric nursing care, and venipuncture.
- Ability to work without direct, immediate supervision in performing nursing diagnosis and providing appropriate follow-through treatment.
- Good communication and effective interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and cultural awareness.
- Resilience to work in a fast-paced environment with potentially confronting patients.
