Fitters and Machinists required for a dynamic service centre in Kalgoorlie.

About the Role

This role offers a diverse range of tasks, contributing to all areas of operations under the direction of the Workshop Manager. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fitting and machining, industry knowledge, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform tasks across the service centre, such as disassembly, cleaning, quoting, machining, rebuilding, and testing Rockdrills.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve service issues, escalating technical concerns when needed.
  3. Assist the Workshop Manager in executing the national service plan.
  4. Manage inventory, including receiving, dispatching, and ordering parts.
  5. Provide leadership and supervision within the workshop.
  6. Mentor Apprentice Fitter Machinists and offer support to colleagues.
  7. Focus on quality improvement, adhering to company processes.
  8. Stay up to date with industry trends and updates through ongoing education.
