Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Financial Services Specialist to provide financial, accounting and payroll services to business units across Perth, Sydney and Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily bank reconciliations in Xero including verification of transactions and accounts balances
  • Fortnightly payroll processing including PAYG, Payroll Tax & Super payments ensuring compliance with Australian laws and regulations
  • Processing of accounts payable from PO to invoice to scheduling payments within agreed timelines
  • Manage employee expense claims adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Daily processing company credit card receipts and reconciliation to statement maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Credit control duties involving identification and resolution of any discrepancies or issues
  • Assist with month end reconciliations and internal reporting providing timely and accurate information

About You:

  • Minimum 3 years commercial accounting experience in all facets of accounts with a focus on financial services
  • In-depth knowledge of accounts procedures and financial control processes with ability to apply this knowledge in a practical sense
  • Extensive working knowledge of Xero including its features and functionality
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills enabling effective data analysis and presentation
  • Strong time management skills proven ability to multi-task prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy with ability to maintain these standards under pressure
  • Naturally question things that don't look right and have problem-solving mentality with ability to think critically and creatively
  • Interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders including colleagues managers and clients
  • Accountable reliable person of integrity and team player
  • Positive optimistic solutions-based outlook with ability to motivate and inspire others
