Key Financial Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our public sector finance team. This pivotal role involves supporting critical financial operations and will be a valuable addition to the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare key financial reports for compliance and strategic decision-making purposes.
  • Maintain accurate and complete financial transaction records.
  • Identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and lodge tax returns in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Liaise with auditors and coordinate audit processes.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for performance improvement.
About You:
  • Demonstrated experience in financial accounting within a government or similar environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficient in PRIME (essential) with experience in MyWorkZone and SAP highly regarded.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
