Job Title: Workshop Fabrication Supervisor

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced workshop fabrication supervisor to join our team. As a workshop fabrication supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Currently hold a forklift license and have proficiency in reading technical drawings.
  • Have experience in welding and fabrication, as well as supervisory or leading hand experience in the heavy fabrication industry.
  • Hold a relevant trade qualification in heavy fabrication/welding and are able to understand and work from technical drawings.
  • Possess strong proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, and excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Guarantee the safety of the workshop and its employees.
  2. Monitor fabrication quality and ensure adherence to correct standards.
  3. Mentor, guide, and support the team to maintain a positive workplace culture.
  4. Drive continuous improvements in workshop processes.
  5. Report any issues to the manager.
  6. Demonstrate good communication skills and be self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  7. Work independently without supervision and delegate tasks to appropriate staff members.
  8. Manage and update databases and record-keeping systems.
  9. Handle invoice processing, purchase orders, and receipting invoices.
  10. Print technical drawings and work packs.
