We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Project Manager to join our team.

  1. The role of the Civil Project Manager involves managing projects from conceptualization to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  2. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing project plans, managing budgets and resources, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  3. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil construction, with a strong understanding of project management principles, practices, and methodologies.

The working hours are typically 38 per week, with potential for longer hours and weekend work depending on workload. The roles are based in Mackay, with some travel to regional or remote locations as required. We welcome expressions of interest from individuals with Civil Construction backgrounds across QLD and NSW.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budgeting, programming, expenditure monitoring, resource control, and priority review.
  • Managing Labour, Plant, Materials, and Subcontractors within budget and schedule.
  • Contract management activities including client liaison.
  • Procurement of road materials and project services following guidelines.
  • Implementing project management techniques and systems.
  • Reporting and providing information to management timely.
  • Training and guiding project staff on specifications and construction processes.
  • Maintaining high standards in traffic management.
  • Strong knowledge of TMR Technical Specifications.
  • Experience delivering TIC(SI), MW, and RMPC contracts for TMR or similar clients.
  • Proficiency with SAP, P6, or similar project management software.
  • Strong communication and computer literacy skills.
  • Experience with QMS and their application on construction projects.
  • Experience with Project Management Systems, including Safety and Environment protocols.
  • Interpersonal and consultative skills.
  • Current driver's license.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction project management.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current driver's license.
