We are regularly tendering for works in the Mackay area and are seeking expressions of interest from experienced professional Civil Project Managers in the road construction / maintenance industry interested in joining us. The role involves managing projects for approximately 1-2 years with potential for ongoing extensions and other projects.

Mandatory Requirements
  • At least 5 years of prior Civil Roads Infrastructure construction experience with the Department of Transport and Main Roads in Queensland or another Australian State Government Road Authority, either directly or through a construction company or consultant.
  • Experience in road construction and maintenance delivery, managing and leading projects during the delivery phase from a contractor's perspective, including:
  1. Budgeting, programming, expenditure monitoring, resource control, and priority review.
  2. Managing Labour, Plant, Materials, and Subcontractors within budget and schedule.
  3. Contract management activities including client liaison.
  4. Procurement of road materials and project services following guidelines.
  5. Implementing project management techniques and systems.
  6. Reporting and providing information to management timely.
  7. Training and guiding project staff on specifications and construction processes.
  8. Contributing to estimating processes for bids or offers.
  9. Maintaining high standards in traffic management.
  10. Strong knowledge of TMR Technical Specifications.
  11. Experience delivering TIC(SI), MW, and RMPC contracts for TMR or similar clients.
  12. Proficiency with SAP, P6, or similar project management software.
  13. Strong communication and computer literacy skills.
  14. Experience with QMS and their application on construction projects.
  15. Experience with Project Management Systems, including Safety and Environment protocols.
  16. Interpersonal and consultative skills.
  17. Current driver's license.

The working hours are typically 38 per week, with potential for longer hours and weekend work depending on workload. The roles are based in Mackay, with some travel to regional or remote locations as required. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be currently residing in Queensland or willing to relocate.
