Our clinical team at Northmead is seeking an experienced Prosthetist to join us and contribute their skills and expertise. If you have a strong focus on patient care, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

The successful candidate will collaborate with our clinical teams, healthcare providers, and clients to deliver exceptional care within their scope. They will also be responsible for developing and managing client care plans, casting, modifying, fitting, and evaluating prostheses to ensure they meet desired outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clinical teams, healthcare providers, and clients to deliver care
  • Develop and manage client care plans
  • Cast, modify, fit, and evaluate prostheses
  • Attend amputee clinics and collaborate with specialists
  • Communicate with the technical team to assist with prosthesis manufacturing
  • Maintain accurate client records and adhere to administrative requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics or equivalent
  • Current membership with the Australian Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (preferred)
  • Strong focus on patient care with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and handle a variety of technical and clinical tasks
