Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for Conveyor Technicians to join our team in Karratha. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing various tasks including belt splicing, repairs, maintenance, and installations of fabric, ply, solid woven, and steel-cord belts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Belt Splicing: You will be responsible for splicing, repairing, and maintaining belts without supervision.
  • Remove and replace belts: You will need to remove and replace belts without supervision, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Conduct belt audits: You will conduct regular belt audits to ensure optimal performance and prevent failures.
  • Operate winches and winders: You will operate winches and winders to maintain and install belts.
  • Set up and plan equipment: You will set up and plan equipment for continuous operations, ensuring efficient workflow and minimizing waste.
  • Assist with creating splice reports: You will assist with creating splice reports to track and analyze belt performance.
  • Perform hot and cold repairs: You will perform both hot and cold repairs to belts as required.
  • Pulley lagging: You will perform pulley lagging to maintain optimal belt performance.
  • Apply mechanical clips: You will apply mechanical clips to secure belts in place.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ Years experience: You must have at least 3 years of experience in conveyor technology or a related field.
  • Experience with Fabric/Steel Cord/Solid Woven/Ply etc.: You must have experience working with various types of belts, including fabric, steel cord, solid woven, and ply.
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and GSDU: You must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and GSDU (General Security Drugs and Urine Test).
