Your Role

The primary purpose of this role is to assist in the development and accomplishment of goals for profit, growth, service, and producer relations for all classes of business within the Major Accounts Division. As a senior technical underwriter, you will contribute to fostering relationships with major customers and brokers by demonstrating Chubb's commitment to deploying its global coverage and risk management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in positioning and negotiating transactions to achieve financial plans for all applicable product lines in the Major Accounts Division.
  • Determine acceptability of new lines and renewals, following established underwriting guidelines for Financial Lines products and within the scope of delegated authority.
  • Utilize appropriate endorsements and apply adequate pricing structures.
  • Provide technical leadership for underwriting/marketing in the LOB product or MAD, including risk referrals and portfolio management.
  • Cultivate relationships with key producers and insureds, building long-term relationships and dealing with producer principals on complex underwriting issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree qualified
  • Strong working knowledge of Financial Lines insurances
  • High degree of technical underwriting ability, oral and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with brokerage, customer, and internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Understand advance pricing techniques and modelling
  • Familiar with developing marketing plans and handling complex accounts
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as flexible working arrangements, education assistance, health insurance, and the option to enroll in our discounted stock purchasing scheme.
