About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Hearing Australia. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our cloud-based data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable data architectures using Azure data stack.
  • Develop and deploy high-quality data pipelines using PySpark and PySQL.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data sources and systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement.

What You'll Bring

  • University degree in computer or software engineering.
  • Strong experience implementing and delivering data solutions using Azure data stack.
  • Expertise in data modeling, E2E solution designing, and component-level understanding.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Azure data stack, including ADL, ADF, Purview, and Synapse.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with PySpark and PySQL.
  • Experience working with cloud data warehouses and data migration between on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Experience in implementation of CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience in real-time and batch processing data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
