About the Role

You will play a pivotal role in supporting our donors throughout their donation process, providing a seamless experience that encourages them to return. No prior experience in blood collection is required; we offer comprehensive training that balances on-the-job practice with online learning schedules, ensuring your success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability for donation
  • Create a memorable donor experience they'll cherish
  • Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
  • Set up machines and collections equipment
  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist with rebooking their next donation
Requirements

To excel in this rewarding role, you'll need:

  • To be comfortable with needles and blood/biological materials
  • To occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs
  • To support and foster a fantastic team culture
  • To frequently stand, walk, and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products
  • To be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts
