Job Opportunity in Gynaecological Oncology

This position offers an exceptional and unique opportunity for a gynaecological oncology trainee to gain advanced skills and experience in tertiary level antenatal and intrapartum care, including ultrasound and labour ward management. The training in general gynaecology unit will enable the successful applicant to consolidate their surgical skills, including laparoscopic surgery.

The role involves working with a senior team of medical professionals, providing excellent patient care and contributing to the development of the department. This is a perfect pre-selection year for candidates pursuing a future career in gynaecological oncology or gaining advanced surgical skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality patient care and participating in multidisciplinary meetings
  • Assisting in theatre lists and labour ward experiences
  • Clinical research and audit projects

About the Role

This is a full-time position, with a minimum of 4 theatre lists per week. The role includes gynaecology clinics, colposcopy and outpatient laser procedures, as well as theatre lists with a visiting sub-specialist in gynae-oncology. ATMs and Pathway Modules opportunities are available.

The successful applicant will work closely with consultant mentors who are committed to assisting registrars in achieving their career goals.
