Make Your Mark in Neurosurgery - Senior Registrar Position

Join SALHN Flinders Medical Centre as a Senior Registrar (Fellow) in Neurosurgery. Bring your expertise in Cranial and Spinal Neurosurgery to provide exceptional care. This full-time, fixed-term role offers significant professional growth within a leading healthcare team.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Unit, you will evaluate Neurosurgery services, contribute to strategic initiatives with the Department of Health, and help reduce waiting times for surgeries and outpatient services. You will supervise junior staff in operating theatres and clinics. Responsibilities include:

  1. Working independently with high professional judgment and clinical competence;
  2. Coordinating academic services and ensuring high standards of teaching and research;
  3. Supervising resident medical officers and interns;
  4. Mentoring medical students and junior staff.

About you:

  1. MBBS or equivalent qualification;
  2. Commitment to patient care;
  3. Experience in Cranial and Spinal Neurosurgery at a fellowship level;
  4. Postgraduate training equivalent to FRACS in Neurosurgery.

Employment duration is 3 years, with rotations determined by training needs and SA Health requirements, possibly involving transfers to other locations.
