Job Title: Embedded Linux Software Developer

About the Role

The company is seeking a skilled Embedded Linux Software Developer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software solutions for embedded systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Develop high-quality embedded C code to interface power electronics for LED lighting products, ensuring reliability, performance, testability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Protocol Integration: Integrate external communication protocols, including Ethernet and serial.
  • Architecture Design: Design software architectures with consideration for real-time constraints, processing throughput, execution context, electrical protocols, data coherence, and concurrency.
  • Firmware Bring-up: Perform firmware bring-up on new electronics designs, ensuring proper initialization, configuration, and validation of the embedded system.
  • Build Automation: Develop and maintain Yocto recipes, Makefiles, Bash, and Python scripts, and other build automation tools.
  • Collaboration: Participate in collaborative peer review of code, designs, test strategies, and project plans.
  • Testing: Write, maintain, and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure functional correctness and prevent regressions.
  • Requirements Gathering: Gather, analyze, and workshop requirements.
  • Presentation: Present work to Product Managers to gather early feedback and align on requirements.
  • Task Management: Break down work into small actionable tasks with time estimates.
