Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled professional on a fixed-term contract to oversee a significant project. In this capacity, you will be responsible for steering the successful execution of strategic merchandise initiatives. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring that our projects not only achieve their goals but also surpass expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Governance and Execution: Ensure that merchandise projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with the defined scope, collaborating closely with the IT Project Manager to ensure successful outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage proactively with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to foster alignment and support.
- Risk Assessment: Identify, track, and mitigate potential risks that may affect project success, implementing proactive measures to address them.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, particularly in delivering business or digital portfolios, programs, or projects.
- Professional certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, PRINCE2) are highly regarded.
- Familiarity with Change Management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) is preferred.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Project Management, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Proven track record of leading and managing diverse project teams to drive effective change.
- Strong understanding of Lean/Agile delivery methodologies and frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and value their contributions.
- Significant experience in managing vendor partnerships in various operational environments.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
- Experience in the retail sector is advantageous.
