Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated communications professional to join our team as a Community Engagement Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing community engagement and communications activities to promote the Step Together Helpline and the Engagement and Support Program (ESP).

You will work closely with community organisations and service providers to support referrals from the Step Together Helpline and the ESP. Additionally, you will facilitate the production of communications content across various formats to deliver the department's communications strategy and inform the community on countering violent extremism.

This position requires a strong commitment to professional development and a proven track record in developing and delivering impactful communication campaigns and resources. You should have experience in managing online, digital, and social media content, as well as contributing to promotional activities that enhance the department's mission.

The successful candidate will hold tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Communications, Social/Behavioural Science, Welfare, or a related field, or possess equivalent knowledge and experience.
