Mental Health Clinician

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide culturally appropriate mental health services and interventions to clients and their families.

The primary focus of this role is on moderate to high intensity levels of care, requiring a strong understanding of mental health principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health services and support to individuals and their families across levels of care ranging from moderate to high intensity.
  • Support service coordination and Continuum of Care as well as accept case management responsibilities.
  • Conduct mental health assessments, including risk assessments, to inform care planning and ensure safety for individuals and their support networks.
  • Collaborate with internal and external service providers, work with family and friends, and actively participate in case review meetings.
  • Develop pathways to support people to access crisis services and promote mental health awareness within the community.
  • Implement the Corryong Health Mental Health Service Plan and contribute to the development of new initiatives.
  • Support community groups and organizations in respect to mental health issues and provide generalist counseling as required.
  • Coordinate support for NDIS participants and provide mental health outreach services as needed.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Psychology or related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in mental health or a relevant field (e.g., Counseling, Social Work).
  • Current registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in mental health services, preferably in a rural or remote setting.
