Job Summary

This role plays a vital part in delivering high-quality healthcare services to the community by collecting and transporting pathology samples.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Pick-up and delivery of pathology samples to and from referring customers, ensuring timely and secure transportation.
  • Liaise between medical practitioners and laboratory staff regarding sample collection and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate reports and maintain stock levels within the laboratory.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to operating procedures for correct specimen coding documentation.
About You

As a successful candidate, you will hold a valid open Australian driver's license with an excellent driving record. Your strong interpersonal skills will enable effective communication with various stakeholders, including written correspondence and time management.

Physically capable of handling equipment weighing up to 15kg, you will be able to follow instructions and use initiative to make sound decisions.

Previous experience as a courier is highly advantageous, and a Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one is essential.

Requirements

Candidates must be Australian citizens or permanent residents, New Zealand citizens, or possess a valid visa allowing work permission. Evidence of vaccination against vaccine-preventable diseases, such as Hepatitis B, is required for this role.
