Job Title: Medical Transport Specialist

Our organization is seeking a highly organized and motivated Medical Transport Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick-up and delivery of medical samples, specimens, blood products, vaccines, and clinical waste to and from referring customers.
  • Liaising between referring medical practitioners and the medical liaison officer with regards to store orders.
  • Preparation and delivery of reports and stock control in the main laboratory.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and integrity.
  • Following operating procedures to complete correct specimen coding documentation.
  • Compliance and adherence with policies and procedures, work health and safety procedures, and quality assurance processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A valid open Australian driver's license with an excellent driving record.
  • Ability to work various shifts including rostered weekends and public holidays.
  • Great interpersonal skills to liaise with different stakeholders, as well as strong written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, juggling up to 30 stops per day.
  • Physical capability to handle equipment weighing regularly up to 10kg -15kg.
  • The ability to follow instructions and use initiative to make sound decisions.
  • Previous courier experience is considered highly advantageous.
  • A working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one.
  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work.
