Key Responsibilities
  • Guidance, support, and general supervision of children, staff, and volunteers in absence of the Nominated Supervisor of the service.
  • Facilitate and support the Nominated Supervisor in leading a team of Educators to ensure they are working in accordance with the service philosophy, policy, and procedures, and as per the National Quality Standards (NQS), to provide high quality education and care for all enrolled children.
Requirements
  • Cert III, Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a 2IC or in a leadership role
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one
  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment
  • Strong understanding of the importance of family communications
  • Commitment to the holistic development of their classroom
