We are seeking a passionate and experienced educator to lead our English as an Additional Language (EAL) programs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide educational leadership across EAL programs, support staff development, and ensure quality delivery and compliance with national standards.

  • Lead and coordinate EAL programs and teaching teams
  • Deliver training and assessment aligned with VET and curriculum requirements
  • Support student engagement, attendance, and outcomes
  • Maintain teaching and compliance documentation
  • Liaise with industry and community to align training with current needs
  • Assist in recruitment and onboarding of staff
  • Promote department programs through community engagement
  • Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree or Diploma relevant to EAL or Foundation Studies
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in relevant industry
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities
  • Strong understanding of vocational education and training sector
  • Experience in program design, assessment, and compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and counselling skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
