Early Childhood Educator Job

The role is a vital part of the organization, focusing on implementing quality care and education for children in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, documenting, and implementing quality early childhood education programs.
  • Ensuring a safe, engaging, and aesthetic learning environment based on child knowledge, EYLF, QKLG, and National Quality Standards.
  • Collaborating with fellow educators to support each other's professional development and utilize various teaching strategies.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with families and children, supporting engagement and parent participation.
  • Committing to inclusion and access to quality education for all children and families, treating everyone with dignity and respect.
  • Positively guiding children's behaviour and encouraging empathy, kindness, and respect towards others.
  • Developing a working understanding of relevant legislation, frameworks, policies, and guidelines to ensure compliance.
  • Embodying personal drive and integrity, taking responsibility for meeting objectives and showing resilience under pressure.
  • Modelling organizational values in daily work, including interactions with managers, lay staff, ministry agents, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Providing internal and external client-focused customer service and identifying improvements to policy and process.
  • Maintaining thorough knowledge of relevant Child Protection Law matters and proactively responding to child protection issues.
  • Working within the Code of Conduct and other policies, procedures, and legislation, including reporting hazards and incidents.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Supporting program implementation, documenting observations, and providing guidance for quality outcomes.
  • Qualifications include an Early Childhood Certificate III level or equivalent as approved by ACECQA.
