Lead Claims Specialist

We seek an experienced Claims Officer to oversee Latent & Special Risk claims on a permanent full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:- Efficiently manage the claims process, ensuring accurate completion and validation of claims.
- Interpret policy coverage and determine if coverage applies to submitted claims, escalating issues as needed.
- Maintain good client relationships with insureds, brokers, investigators, solicitors, and the general public.
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory guidelines and standards.
- Initiate and complete recoveries from third parties.
- Conduct self-audit of claims files to ensure positive internal audits.
- Respond to enquiries in a timely, professional, and courteous manner within Privacy guidelines.
- Strong technical claims experience and expertise in managing complex Latent & Special Risk claims.
- Proven understanding of underwriting procedures and policy wordings across a diversified liability portfolio.
- Expert knowledge and practical application of the General Insurance Code of Practice.
- Effective relationship-building with clients and customers, maintaining confidentiality and resilience.
- Ability to participate in alternative dispute resolution processes.
