Job Title: Health Safety Specialist">

Our organization is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Adviser to join our team on a permanent basis. This role will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and governing health and safety programs across the organization.

As a key member of our project leadership team, you will be responsible for driving consistency in health and safety practices across the business and with clients. You will work closely with our Sector SHEQ Manager and operational delivery teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement health and safety objectives aligned to the Sector SHEQ strategy at the site or location level.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of broader company strategies, initiatives, programs, and leading health and safety practices.
  • Delivery of programs across the site or location to ensure all project requirements are addressed.
  • Implementation of health and safety management plans, emergency response, and business continuity planning.
  • Provide expert advice and practical solutions and delivery of health and safety communications with key legislative and organizational updates as required.
  • Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with the organization's health and safety management system, legislative, and other requirements.
  • Support operations to perform contractor health and safety evaluations coordinate leader and employee onboarding and inductions.
  • Lead and manage ICAM and serious incident investigations and drive learnings into the site and wider business if required.
  • Implementation of unified SHEQ management systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement and develop and share outcomes and learnings with the team.
  • Facilitate and support effective return to work and injury management.

**Requirements:**

  • 3+ years' experience in similar industries, services, or construction organizations.
  • Sound communication skills including high-level literacy and numeracy including identifying project members requiring additional comprehension assistance.
  • Contracting knowledge and experience.
  • Incident causation methodology.
  • Operational experience in high-risk environments (where relevant).
  • Diploma in safety, science, engineering, or related disciplines.

**About the Role:**

This is a full-time, permanent position working day shifts. The successful candidate will be based in Arndell Park NSW and must be able to commute or relocate before starting work.
