Job Profile

This role involves assisting the Anaesthetist with ongoing patient care throughout the intra-operative phase. The responsibilities include preparation of equipment for allocated operating lists, maintenance of high standard of patient care using resources effectively and functioning within legal and registration constraints in relation to anaesthetic practice.

  • Preparation of equipment for allocated operating lists is an essential task requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Maintaining a high standard of patient care involves effective use of resources, prioritization of tasks and excellent communication skills.
  • Functioning within legal and registration constraints requires adherence to industry standards, regulations and guidelines.
About You

You will have a minimum of 12-month experience as an Anaesthetic Nurse or Anaesthetic Technician, preferably in a similar role or related field. Your previous experience will enable you to understand the requirements of the job and make informed decisions.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
  • A Diploma Qualification in Anaesthetic Technology and/or Cert IV in Anaesthetic Technology will be highly valued by our team.
  • Your well-developed interpersonal skills will enable you to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Your problem solving ability will be essential in identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the course of your work.
