Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking a skilled Field Service Fitter to join our award-winning North Coast team. This is a permanent, Monday to Friday role.

As a Field Service Fitter, you will be responsible for performing quality maintenance, repair, and recondition jobs on all equipment sold and/or serviced by Hastings Deering. You will also submit accurate service reports, time cards, and parts request sheets as required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing quality maintenance, repair, and recondition jobs on all equipment sold and/or serviced by Hastings Deering
  • Submitting accurate service reports, time cards, and parts request sheets as required
  • Planning and organizing daily service requirements
  • Supporting a variety of customers and ensuring they receive the highest quality service for their Caterpillar machinery
  • Completing all repairs and maintenance in a safe and timely manner

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Trade qualification in Certificate III in Engineering-Mechanical or equivalent
  • Previous experience on CAT machinery and CAT diagnostic systems (ET Vims, SIMSi, and SIS)
  • Minimum three to five years' experience in a similar role within a diversified company
  • Proven diagnostic skills to ensure a fault/issue is identified to its root cause before parts replacement
  • Well-developed communication and customer service skills
