Role Overview">

This is a unique opportunity to increase your skills in community mental health as a senior clinician with our homeless outreach psychiatric service.

You will provide high-standard clinical assessment, treatment, and secondary consultation to clients and staff, demonstrating excellence in discipline-specific and recovery-focused case management skills.

This is a community-based role in an innovative environment, working with clients who may be homeless or at risk of homelessness who suffer with a serious mental illness and associated high level of disability.

As part of our dynamic team, you will work within the strengths model of recovery-oriented practice, providing discipline-specific interventions to consumers who are currently registered with our service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide discipline-specific interventions to consumers who are currently registered with our service.
  • Assist with and undertake the assessment, provision of treatment, and delivery of targeted interventions to consumers with complex mental health-related needs and their family/carers in line with our policies and strategic direction.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years post-qualification clinical experience within mental health.
  • Developed knowledge in working with substance use and addiction.
  • Registration with the Australian health practitioner regulation agency (all disciplines except social work).
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in mental health.
  • Current Victorian driver's license.
  • Current national criminal history check, or willing to obtain.
