Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Associate, G10 FX. In this role, you will be responsible for detailed analysis of the Australian and New Zealand FX, rates, and bond markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of global FX & rates strategy teams and local macroeconomic research to provide unique insights into markets and policy developments.
  • Contributing to high-frequency coverage and ad-hoc publications to support clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Developing thematic research and generating trade recommendations to support the local business and gain exposure to clients.
  • Maintaining and developing databases/models, updating forecasts, and providing analysis for regularly published research and client requests.
Requirements
  • A minimum 3 years relevant experience.
  • Advanced communication skills, including the ability to produce persuasive, high-quality written reports efficiently and frequently.
  • Demonstrated ability to write evidence-based reports and produce marketable trade recommendations.
  • Ability to present clearly and engage a wide range of audiences, including senior policymakers, institutional investors, and corporate leaders.
  • Strong understanding of the working of the FX, money, bonds, swaps, and bond futures markets based on a detailed understanding of monetary and fiscal policies.
  • Experience presenting to AU market participants and willingness to promote ideas to various stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking: curiosity is essential, including the ability to generate new ideas and possibilities.
  • Flexibility: adaptability in light of shifting priorities or changing conditions.
  • Team orientation/teamwork/collaboration: ability and willingness to work as a member of a team.
