Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Wetherill Park. As a key member of our supply chain operations, you will be responsible for leading large capital projects and supporting the development of long-range plant project planning, project budgeting, and cost controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead large capital plant projects, following a front-end loaded project work process with multiple project phases and developing deliverables over the project lifecycle.
  • Supervise 3rd party engineering support, equipment vendors, and contractors.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Corporate Engineering teams to develop and maintain a culture emphasizing environmental stewardship, employee health and safety, legal compliance, and community relations.
  • Work with Risk Management to ensure testing documentation is current for domestic plant sites.
  • Lead or assist plant in company audits.
  • Develop and/or understand long-term business goals with Supply Chain Planning.
  • Successfully manage commercial contracts on assigned projects of various sizes.
  • Support the development of monthly capital project cash flow.
  • Foster the use and development of new engineering specifications/standards for current and future projects.
  • Work with Valvoline engineering to update and maintain facility 'Core Drawings', including plant general arrangement drawings, electrical one-line drawings, and facility P&ID drawings.
  • Prepare, submit, and present assigned project requests with supporting documentation to Senior Supply Chain Management.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in heavy industrial/process work and project execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Chemical, Process, or Mechanical).
  • Experience in process commercialization from ideation to operational turnover, focused on process flow, liquid transfer, and packaging.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative.
  • Great communication and organization skills, including strong attention to detail.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills with the ability to problem-solve.
  • Computer savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
