The Opportunity: Driver Trainer
We are seeking an experienced Driver Trainer to join our team in the Resources & Industrials division. As a Driver Trainer, you will be responsible for providing effective and safe instruction to new and existing drivers, promoting a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with chain of responsibility legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular driver assessments to ensure competency in all aspects of driver activity, including human factor issues and driver/vehicle presentation.
- Provide regular paperwork training to drivers to ensure service standards are consistent.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are met in a safe and timely manner.
- Monitor training effectiveness and implement improvements as needed.
- Lead and mentor drivers through formal and informal staff appraisals and coaching.
- Partner with the team to deploy innovative approaches or technologies to drive business growth and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- MC licence.
- Knowledge of NHVL mass management, fatigue management, road transport rules & regulations & Chain of Responsibility.
- Ability to influence others and communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
- Computer skills: Microsoft office.
- Reliable vehicle to travel to various Toll sites.
