Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Specialist


Description of the Role

This key position will see you take on a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance within a reputable financial institution. Reporting directly into the Chief Compliance Officer, your primary responsibilities will include managing all duties for the Compliance and Legal department.


Key Responsibilities
  • Timely AML/CTF & Sanctions screening and reporting duties, including transaction monitoring
  • Review and approve corporate client onboarding and perform periodic review (KYC)
  • Maintain and administer CDD records and metrics
  • Maintain the Compliance and Legal Register
  • Review and update policies and procedures that support the compliance framework
  • Facilitate ongoing compliance training to all employees
  • Draft and vet contracts with third-party legal entities and counterparties
  • Support with legal searches and provide updates about regulatory changes to Senior Management
  • Translate compliance documents and reports for Head Office

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess a tertiary degree in Finance, Business and/or Law, along with a basic knowledge of Prudential Standards, ASIC Guidelines and AML/CTF requirements. Good understanding of Australian financial markets and basic licensing obligations is desirable. Furthermore, the candidate should be highly motivated, capable of multi-tasking, and willing to learn and develop within the role.
