About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multinational organisation with a strong global footprint as a Junior Financial Analyst/Assistant Accountant. The role is a hybrid position, with 2 days working from home, and is located in Chullora/Yagoona.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurate and timely preparation and processing of general journal entries
  • Preparation of monthly financial accounts
  • Reconciling P&L and balance sheet accounts
  • Review expense line items and ensure they are properly accrued and coded
  • Analysis and commentary on expenses and legal entity performance
  • Review and update finance procedures and processes
  • Support the business in the execution of the annual audits and external reporting obligations
  • Assist in any ongoing projects where required
About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have exposure to the following:

  • Previous experience in a similar position – ideally from a high volume / high transaction background
  • Knowledge of Excel – intermediate to advanced level
  • Ability to work to a strict schedule and be results focused
  • Strong communication skills as well as attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Exposure to large ERP systems
  • Degree-qualified and ideally have started or are about to start CPA/CA studies
