Therapeutic Franchise Head

Job Description

The Therapeutic Franchise Head serves as an operational expert in a specific area of therapeutic expertise. The role is responsible for developing strategies to support new business proposals and delivering contracted work in clinical trials within the relevant therapeutic area.

This position requires innovative thinking, strategic planning, and effective communication skills to drive business growth and success.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related science or healthcare discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of global clinical research experience with proven track records in hands-on operational project delivery and/or drug development experience
  • Minimum 5 years of global business development experience ideally in a hands-on capacity but otherwise showing direct involvement in associated processes
Key Responsibilities
  1. Create and optimize innovative delivery strategies and solutions for early and late phase studies or programs that leverage expertise in the relevant therapeutic area and operational capabilities
  2. Work with experts to differentiate from competitors in assigned areas
  3. Support long-term business growth through collaboration with Functional Area Heads and external stakeholders
  4. Develop effective delivery strategies and solutions for all projects in assigned areas addressing specific needs and challenges
  5. Engage and coordinate Operations Area Lead team members to align with the global operational strategy in specified therapeutic areas
New Business
  1. In partnership with Business Development Medical Services Proposals Operations and other functions responsible for awarding business to achieve identified new business targets in relevant therapeutic areas
  2. Collaborate with Business Development to evaluate and manage new opportunities from receipt through pricing and proposal development and to award decision
  3. Support Business Development in preparing for and conducting customer-facing meetings including training project teams and providing content
  4. Develop and review project budgets aligned with requested project strategies contribution margin targets and pricing strategy agreed upon with Sales leadership and other stakeholders
