Job Title: Mechanical Fitter/Forklift Mechanic

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced mechanical fitter to join our team as a forklift mechanic. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to our customers while performing scheduled maintenance and repair work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fault finding and troubleshooting to ensure all faults are fixed and quickly resolved.
  • Complete scheduled services to ensure customer requirements and service agreements are upheld and to ensure the safety of the customer's equipment.
  • Manage daily workload to ensure that all jobs are attended to within the specified time frames.
  • Check fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance, and fit using precision measuring instruments.
  • Diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance of forklifts, and overhaul and repair mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.
  • Cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
  • Deliver a professional level of service at all times.
  • Maintain an accurate service diary/time sheet record of work performed.

Requirements:

  • AQF Certificate III in Forklift Technology or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Or AQF Certificate III Mechanical Trade or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience.
  • Prior servicing, diagnostics, and hydraulic experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical systems.
