Job Opportunity

We are seeking an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Barron Gorge Power Station in Cairns. This is a 4-year fixed term contract that will provide an exceptional opportunity to learn a technical trade and contribute to the delivery of planned maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the delivery of planned preventative maintenance to ensure that CleanCo operates highly reliable renewable generation.
  • Complete on and off the job training including TAFE study blocks to achieve a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical.
About You
  • You must be committed to undertaking and successfully completing a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical (4-year course) and eager to apply these skills learned, each day on an operating site.
  • Essential to your success (minimum requirements) is completion (or currently completing) year 11 with satisfactory results in both Math & English along with a valid drivers' licence (learners or provisional stage acceptable).
