Specialist Nursing Position

The CNS2 Child & Family Health Specialist is accountable for delivering complex specialist nursing care and leading the development of specialist clinical practice in relation to health screening, assessment, and advisory services for families with children aged 0 to 5 years.

Key Responsibilities

The CNS2 has a leadership role in service delivery, providing effective quality care for clients with complex care needs. This includes infant feeding, developmental assessment, facilitating groups, and promoting practice development and quality initiatives that enhance best practice.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Child and Family Health Nursing
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in all areas of Child and Family Health Nursing
  • Ability to develop and support staff education and training in specialized areas of Child and Family Health
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
