Key Accountabilities:

As a Manager, Strategy Policy & Government Relations, you will be responsible for:

  • Representing the organisation at relevant working groups and producing briefing notes and other reporting to drive best practice and information sharing to governance groups.
  • Developing and providing strategic advice on submission requests ranging from external providers through to Cabinet submissions, ensuring engagement with technical stakeholders as required.
  • Undertaking qualitative research across large data sets to understand behavioural changes from cyber awareness training methods.
  • Leading organisational and/or Government policy and initiatives, through the provision of cyber security related advice, information and/or training to relevant stakeholders to facilitate the appropriate interpretation and implementation of cyber security.
  • Developing best practice cyber security policies, standards, reporting protocols, ICT contracts, and risk assessments.
  • Developing and synergising DCS and Cyber Security NSW Strategies, ensuring inclusion and alignment to remit of ID Support NSW.
  • Providing exemplary stakeholder management through correspondence, written reports, publications, and briefs, that are informative, meet stakeholder and customer needs and are aligned with agency requirements, to support informed decision-making and contribute to the achievement of service delivery outcomes.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A strong background in cyber security, with experience in strategy development and policy analysis.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to represent the organisation at high-level meetings and produce clear, concise briefing notes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to undertake qualitative research and develop best practice policies and standards.
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or business administration.
