We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Region Services organization at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving large-scale global projects and initiatives, influencing cross-functional teams to focus on delivering new workflow features and tools that enhance productivity, open capacity at a faster rate, and secure devices to AWS standards.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with Data Center Managers and employees across multiple data centers to find better ways to install, maintain network and server hardware.
- Demonstrate ownership to improve the safety, security, and availability of our data center operations.
- Provide mentorship for indirect reports and members of the organization (Technicians and Technical Program Managers).
- Dedicate time to ongoing learning and development, both from a technical/functional and soft skills (critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and adaptability) development perspective.
- Develop, improve, and share operational best practices across the region and with peers globally.
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
