Compliance Manager Role OverviewWe are seeking a Compliance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the internal audit function, providing guidance on compliance with critical infrastructure legislation, and carrying out corporate reporting obligations.Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to create and enhance a framework that aligns with our organization's goals. As a Compliance Manager, you will be involved in:

  • Planning and overseeing the Internal Audit program, including liaison with external advisors and monitoring of close-out of audit actions;
  • Providing guidance and ensuring compliance with Critical Infrastructure Legislation, including SOCI and privacy law;
  • Carrying out corporate reporting obligations, such as modern slavery reporting, political donations reporting, and data protection;
  • Managing and coordinating compliance review and update of corporate policies, including risk policy, delegations policy, whistleblower policy, privacy policy, political donations policy, and data protection;
  • Managing and monitoring compliance with ASIC and Corporations Law requirements, including corporate constitutions, investors agreements, and trust/share registers;
  • Providing guidance and establishing a corporate framework for the entities' Records Management system and monitoring ongoing compliance with that framework;
  • Preparation of board and committee materials/reports and development and implementation of assurance programs and reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A proven background in developing, implementing, and maintaining a compliance or risk management framework;
  • Experience in undertaking assurance functions within an organisation and compliance reporting;
  • Excellent stakeholder and client management skills;
  • Superior organisation, project management skills, and attention to detail;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally;
  • A driver's license and car.
