Senior Site Reliability Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to bring their expertise in Python software engineering and operations to drive business success.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure solutions using OpenStack, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage. They will also be expected to enable devsecops for applications running on that infrastructure, operate with a pure software engineering mindset, and treat automation as code.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Scalable Infrastructure:
  • Architect and run OpenStack, Kubernetes, and software-defined storage to meet business needs.
  • Enable DevSecOps:
  • Implement devsecops practices to ensure the security and integrity of applications running on the infrastructure.
  • Operate with a Software Engineering Mindset:
  • Treat automation as code and use scripting languages to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Skill Enhancement and Support:
  • Learn and support the full stack from bare metal networking to serverless applications.
Requirements:
  • Degree and Experience:
  • Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux, Linux networking, and Linux storage.
  • Python Development Expertise:
  • Proven expertise in Python software development.
  • Operational Experience:
  • Strong operational experience in a similar role.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
