Transforming data into actionable insights is at the heart of this pivotal role. As a Data and Analytics Specialist, you will be critical in providing data insights to both internal stakeholders and third-party research and education partners.

The organisation is a small but very important not-for-profit sector promoting health-related awareness and support to millions of sufferers in Australia. They are seeking a Data Specialist to enhance their data maturity and journey towards data analytics best practice.

The main focus of the role is to assist the organisation in gaining a holistic view of their data, currently mostly stored in SharePoint and third-party apps connected through Zapier. The goal is to move to a more modern and best-practice model consisting of AWS, Snowflake, and PowerBI.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing and consolidating data from various sources, including SharePoint, a Marketing Automation CRM, and other customer-facing apps.
  • Developing and maintaining PowerBI dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify data needs and structure and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Utilizing your knowledge of Snowflake to optimize data storage and retrieval and build a data warehouse.
  • Migrating data from SharePoint to AWS for storage.
  • Automating existing data manipulation processes that are currently completed manually.

Your ideal background will include:

  • Strong proven experience in data analytics, manipulation, migration, and reporting.
  • Strong experience with PowerBI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Proficiency in managing and extracting insights from Snowflake.
  • Experience with SharePoint data structures and best practices, including moving data into AWS.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for data analytics.

This role would suit an individual with a passion for data and analytics and a desire to make a real impact while working for a small organisation in the not-for-profit sector.

This role will be offered as a permanent position with a hybrid work arrangement, requiring you to be based in the Chatswood office 2-3 days per week.

This position offers a competitive base salary, plus super, and up to $15,900 per annum worth of salary sacrifice.
